Into the Nether...

After a lot of misfortune in my first few games, I finally got a decent game going. My so called 'Bear Gryll's Method' just surviving instead of making a base camp was paying off as I was the first to the Nether all out of us.

After spending a little time in the Nether, I knew lava would be my nemesis as the mobs were much easier than those in the Overworld. Having said that fighting, a ghast on a one block wide netherrack bridge over lava was not my highlight of the adventure! And the amount of collateral damage in that fight alone meant that it ruined more than a few Zombie Pigmen and Magmas days.

Unfortunately I meet my doom in this dungeon after falling through a 1 block wide gap on one off the bridges while being shot at by a ghast and 2 blazers and meet a very fiery end. My first school-boy error of that game and my last as well. So gutted considering I had jumped that gap so many times before. Amazing how a few bombs and fire balls make you forget a simple gap like that!

Level 9, score 353... pathetic but at least I was first to the Nether!

i'm finally dead, and so we are ready to start anew!

Thats right, I died on halloween, of all days! I challenged a spider not spotting the skeleton riding it because of the tree's vines, and i suffered for that mistake.

Well here it is

The blog is in place for us to put our stories, screenshot's and failures and compare. Although I'm away at the moment I believe this will be a good way for us to share our experience with minecraft hardcore mode in 1.9 pre-release 4. I know DJ has had a rough time with creepers, having been ambushed and killed multiple times. Dragcain has suffered at the hands of gravel, and myself having dodged many potential deaths by luck more than anything else. It will definitely be an entertaining way to register high scores and compare bases, all 3 of us have very different ideas of what makes a safe base and where to set up so lets start out by introducing our current worlds and the structures that we have built successfully. We'll also be recording all our deaths that happen from this point to laugh at each others failures.
